   its a downstem with lots of little holes instead of 1 big one at the bottom so that the smoke breaks up into smaller bubbles and cools better

    Ive done alil bit of lampworking and can tel you that it is suprising when you melt a blob of glass that ur hand is only no less than 3 inches away. You wouldnt thinkl that you’d be able to do this without getting burned just a little and well you cant. Your gona get burned but looking at this guy work it seems like he knows what hes doing enough to be used to it, the burning that is.

    so can anyone tell me what the glass does when the outside of the glass is fumed?
    like does it change colors the same way as it would when you fume the inside?
